The St. Louis Area Wrestling board is intended primarily for discussion of wrestling going on in the St. Louis area, but also includes Missouri and central and southern Illinois. Wrestling outside of these areas is also acceptable discussion. Some people may post things that stray off-topic but we'll try keeping to the subject at hand. Please keep your posts in the correct forum.
Impersonating other posters will not go over well with us.
You may not register multiple accounts under the same email address.
Shilling should be done in the shills board, except for upcoming events. Discussion of upcoming shows is better done in the upcoming events board but can be done elsewhere. Users should not post an upcoming event in multiple forums however, as the duplicates will be removed.
Email should be used when setting up traders or asking an individual a question, or when you want to insult them for some reason.
If an admin deletes a post, there's a valid reason why and fits one of the reasons below. We don't delete posts cause someone doesn't agree with your viewpoint.
Things That Will Get Your Post Deleted (in no particular order)
- Flames
- Posting no text (N/T) messages
- Double posts
- Complaining about having a post deleted
- Demanding that an admin delete a post or ban another poster
- Challenging an admin to "delete this post"
- Posting spoilers without spoiler warnings (this goes for wrestling, movies, TV Shows, etc.)
- Shills (as outlined above)
- Flooding
- Gay Bashing / Racism
- Posting in entire caps
- A post criticizing poor spelling or grammar
- Posting of porn (some of us do read the board from work)
- Posing as another poster or "Internet Celebrity"
- Wishing for the death of another poster or tape trader
- Taboo subject matter that is not for public consumption
- Telling others they have no right to talk about wrestling when they've never been a wrestler
Things That Will Get You Banned (no particular order)
- Excessive Flaming (insults), trolling (goading someone into responding with no intent to have a meaningful discussion) – In general – being an arsehole
- Gay Bashing / Racism
- Insults or threats toward a fellow posters family members, wife or kids
- Excessive Flooding
- Any combination of the indiscretions listed above
Regular posters will generally be given a warning when an infraction occurs, but they could still be banned outright depending on the infraction.
Politics and religion shouldn't be discussed here unless it directly involves the wrestling business.
Questions about moderation should go to the moderators by email, you should not post topics on the boards.
As this board involves the discussion of St. Louis Wrestling, often various personalities in the local wrestling scene will be discussed. Occasionally, they will be criticized and even insulted. Everyone in the business, including local workers, bookers, and other folks, is allowed to post on the board. But the simple fact is that they will be held to a different standard than the fans who post to this board. They are open to a level of criticism that other posters are not. As they are people in the public eye, one hopes that they can handle some criticism now and then. People may write good things about you as well.
False or questionable accusations about those in the business may be pulled. Same with pointless trolls and flames.
Please use common sense when posting and just have fun.
