So you have footage of a wrestling match that you think should be featured here on the STLWC? Just how do you get that video onto the net? Well here's a short primer...
You need a add-on card or USB device that's capable of allowing you to hook up either cable TV or video input from a VCR to watch on your computer screen...Hauppauge WinTV is the device I use.
Audio from the video should be routed thru the microphone jack or line-in jack with the appropriate cable.
Anyone with Windows XP...has video capture software installed, just fire up Windows Movie Maker...once you set it up where you can see video and hear audio...start the capture...then output your movie file. 320x240 res at 340k is a standard video size, 640x480 uses up twice as much hard drive space.
Then you'll need to sign up for an account on either Youtube, Vidilife.com, or Google Video. Youtube has a 100MB size limit, but has put in (big mistake) a ten minute time limit. Vidilife.com doesn't have a time limit, but still has 100MB file size maximum and stamps its name in the corner. Google apparently allows bigger file sizes, but requires use of an uploader program.
So...after doing all this, you upload your file and pass around the links...its that simple.
