Wrestlers Worked By Another Con Artist Promoter Recently, there was a guy playing wrestling promoter in Iowa who offered several northeast wrestlers "contracts". For some reason, the wrestlers believed this **** and I know alot of wrestlers who weren't offered these "deals" who laughed behind the backs of these idiots who thought this pipe dream would actually take place. Basically, this guy Andrew Carpenter (If that's even his real name) was going to run this abortion where he'd give wrestlers contracts, make them live in Iowa and would air the matches on MySpace. If you've been in the business for more than a minute, you could see this was another scam/mark failure, kind of like a Carmine Sabia show. However, alot of people who have been around fell for this like a Bernie Madoff ponzi scam. One of these wrestlers who fell for it was Damian Dragon. Dragon even put up this ridiculous youtube video ( I can't find it now, I wonder if he deleted it) where he said he is now a contracted wrestler and talked about making it. He made a big ado about it and when you finished watching it, you wondered if he believed half the **** he said. Hearing Dragon talking about this made me realize that Damian Dragon will never get it and is just another one of the delusional indy wrestlers that pollute this scene. I was kind of disappointed because I always thought Dragon had common sense and since he's been around for so long, he should definitely know a scam. It's hard to feel sorry for some of these wrestlers, because this whole thing was a nasty joke from the second it was announced. Anyway, Dan Barry, another victim, wrote a blog about this garbage. Here's Barry on being played like a fiddle: Read More --- www.declarationofindependents.net/doi/pages/wrestlersworkedbymarkidiot.html

Actually heard a little about this before it was exposed. A few wrestlers I've talked to from Illinois with a respectable name were contacted and blocked off the "Internet TV" dates booking-wise. Crazy.

A Message From The Boss
Greetings:
For those of you that do not know me, my name is Andrew Carpenter and I am the CEO/Owner of Online Wrestling Revolution (a division of Evil Monkey Entertainment).
For the most part, I try not to write a lot of blogs unless they pertain to business, such as this one will.
With the premiere show of OWR quickly approaching, I thought it would be best to address a few concerns that some of the boys have been expressing, as well as a few of my own.
One question that seems to keep popping up is this: "Is this really going to happen?" or “Is this real?” The answer is yes. I have invested a significant amount of time, energy and money into this project for it to be anything other than legitimate. I have done the best that I can in alleviating any fears that anyone may have, but there still seems to be a certain amount of doubt.
With that being said, I’ll also say this. If you have any amount of doubt and do not believe that this is going to happen, contact me. Do this because if you are not 100% committed to the company and the idea behind it, maybe we’re not the place for you. If you have these doubts and that means that you may not give your 100% to the company. If you are under contract with us, I’ll gladly release you from it and we can go our separate ways and I’ll wish you the best on your future endeavors.
Also, I will not tolerate anyone trying to “politic” (aka kiss ass) with me. I will also not tolerate any of the backstabbing that seems to have become so prevalent within the business today.
Also, I am by no means a “money mark.” While I am a fan of the genre of professional wrestling, I did not start this promotion to get myself in good with the boys or to get myself over. I started this company because there is a huge potential to create something that is unique and at the same time generate a significant amount of profit.
So with all this being said if you have any questions or concerns, contact me at (641) 455-8009.

I'm not sure how this is considered a "scam". He didn't solicit any money out of anyone to my knowledge (a good friend of mine in the Chicago scene was contacted by this guy and all he was asked to do was confirm some dates). Sounds to me that all this dude is guilty of is being full of $h!t.

Yeah, I don't think that he actually took them for any money. Just made Iowa wrestling near Des Moines look awful. I think the guy probably had good intentions but got in way over his head... hence my motto: "crawl, walk, then run".

Andrew Carpenter looks to be the guys real name, from sources in that part of Iowa that I know. Seems he may have been a part of a botched fake benefit wrestling show fairly recently where he skipped town with all of about $350 and none of the wrestlers got paid. Also read somewhere that some of the wrestlers plan on a lawsuit, but I doubt that will happen. Probably just angry talk.

Andrew Carpenter also tried to scam the local musicians in this area around 2010/2011, he tried to get me to be his 'business partner' since I have connections on the scene. All he wants is a way to get money for lottery tickets and cigarettes. He was using his mom's monthly check, but she died. He's a fraud who neglected his own mother to death so he could use her money. He also has tried to blackmail several former female 'employees' who he sexually harassed, claiming he has nude pictures of them. In reality, none of the pictures he has have faces on them, because he's just searched them up on the internet. The man literally lies so much he believes himself. I pity anyone he's ripped off, because he's not worth the money he owes you.
