IWA-MS has run outside before.

Why would it matter if it's inside, outside, front yard, back yard, in a gym, in a bar, or anywhere else? wrestling is wrestling no matter where it is, or what it's for. They weren't wrestling on a trampoline, or beating each other with florescent lightbulbs, the show may have been in someones yard, but it doesn't make it "backyard wrestling".

im just saying that show is adding fuel to the fire as to why central Illinois is looked upon as crap. people from Chicago don't care that you think that its real wrestling, they see a ring in a backyard and they instantly say its backyard wrestling. im tired of seeing central Illinois wrestlers busting their asses trying to make something of themselves and then someone fucks it up by doing a show in a backyard and posting it on the net for all the world to see, so when central Illinois guys try to booked else where every promoter instantly thinks "oh this guys form central Illinois they all are backyarders we're not going to book them". I dont want you to think this is an attack on the nbwa it goes for all central illinois promotions.

Andrew, as far as I'm concerned Chicago can break off and become a separate state for all I care. I don't care what the Chicago Mob (and that's what the nasty elitists up there should be referred to as) thinks about anything, they hate my guts as it is cause they think I should never have been allowed to make a site like this and intruded on "their turf" and weakening their tight little kliq. The left-wing hacks that run Chicago pretty much try to dictate everything the rest of the state does and leeches all our tax dollars to spend recklessly which is why their sales taxes are the highest in the nation and their economic climate is in the toliet. And the eight statewide office holders are all from Chicago. That combined with the one party rule (hint, they all have a "D" by their names) and we wonder why they can't come up with a state budget AGAIN and everyone's in limbo wondering if they'll get their paycheck or not much less still have a job. And sadly the whole country is having the suffer the painful consequences of electing one of them as president--and while it's pretty bad now the worst is yet to come very shortly.
Downstate vs. Chicago rivalries exist in politics as does wrestling and pretty much everything else. Chicago ain't the end all be all, with Indianapolis about the same distance as Chicago and a top 40 media market. Someone told me Friday night IPW is the only thing going in Indy though I really doubt that. The point of the matter is, Chicago ain't the center of the wrestling universe and people can go elsewhere to advance in the business. Geez...not very many from CI bother go to St. Louis and it's much closer than Chicago!

Downstate vs. Chicago rivalries exist in politics as does wrestling and pretty much everything else. While this maybe true most people are intelligent enough not to mix political views with Wrestling opinions. THEY ARE TWO SEPARATE THINGS. Just because someone has issues with Chicago politics doesnt necessarily mean they have issues with Chicago Indy Wrestling. My guess is much of the state of illinois could give two shits about Chicago Indy Wrestling. Seriously Crimey, you have to at some point in your life step back and look at what you post and go....Holy Crap I am an idiot.

IWA-MS has run outside before. There is a difference between running a show outside at a venue and running a show in someone's back yard.

Well it may come as a shock to you, but I've felt this way for a long time. Chicago does not like downstate and downstate does not like Chicago. The wrestling part is just a subset of the larger problem.
